George Greig owns and operates a 650 dairy farm in
partnership with his brother in Crawford County. They also raise
soybeans and hay for sale.
In an off-farm capacity, he has served
on the USDA Farm Service Agency PA State Committee, Crawford County
Conservation District, Conneaut Township Supervisor and Great Lakes
Regional Water Board.
His previous Farm Bureau involvement includes
being Crawford County Farm Bureau President for eight years, Local
Affairs Chairman, Crawford County Board member for 12 years and
also serving on the legislative committee.
Greig is a 1969 graduate
of the Linesville Conneaut Summit High School. He and his wife
Christine have six children and are active members of the Calvary
Baptist Church.
Greig was awarded the Crawford County Conservation
Farmer of the Year Award in 2000 and was the Republican District
Leader for Crawford County. He also owns the Dogwood Valley Recreation
Center, a hunting lodge and bed and breakfast. |
