Sarah Long owns a 325-acre farm in Blair County with
her family, raising corn, alfalfa and soybeans. Their farm was previously
a working dairy farm of 37 years.
Her Farm Bureau experience includes
state womens committee, Promotion and Education Chair, Food Check-Out
Day coordinator and she is an active member of the Speakers Bureau.
In 1999 she won Blair County's Chamber of Commerce ACE Award
(Agricultural Community Excellence Award) and has been active in:
- PA Assn. of Conservation Districts Auxilliary where she was
president for 14 years.
- On the Farm City Committee of the Blair Co. Chamber
of Commerce for 12 years
- The Blair Co. Extension Board of Directors
- Secretary of the Sinking Valley Fair for 26 years
Sarah has been
married to Frank Long for 50 years and they have 8 children and
20 grandchildren |
