State Board Director - District 16

Edward Rinkhoff raises registered shorthorn beef cattle, highland Dorset sheep and has a timber production as well as hunting leases.

He presently serves on the Fayette County Farm Bureau Board in addition to his State Board position.

Other farm organizations he is/was involved in:

  • Fayette County Farmland Preservation Board
  • Member of NCBA, PA, Ohio and W.Va. Cattlemens Assn.
  • Member of Fayette, Greene, Washington & Westmoreland Co. Cattlemens Assn.

Other positions held:

  • Past President of PA Shorthorn Breeders Assn.
  • Former Treasurer of Westmoreland Co. Soil & Water Conservation Dist.

Past honors include:

  • Second high state FFA Star Farmer, 1953
  • Former District Manager in Pittsburgh for Lifetime Distinguished Farmers of Westlake, OH
  • Instrumental in Westmoreland County submission of Clean and Green submission to former Gov. Schaffer's Committee which formed the basis for the present law enacted under Shapp administration

Rinkhoff is chairman of the Board of Trustees at the Fairview Methodist Church in Grindstone, PA and has 5 sons and daughters.
