     On behalf of the members of the CDCFB, the Board of Directors is proud to present scholarship awards to each of the following:

  • Denise L. Beam, from Conestoga Christian School, a $1,000. scholarship to attend Penn State/ Berks campus, to study Ag Business and Animal Science.
  • Kelly A. Meyer, Owen J. Roberts High School, a $1,000. scholarship to attend University of Colorado at Boulder to study Environmental Studies.
  • Daniel Endy, Owen J. Roberts High School, a $500 scholarship to PA College of Technology to study Ornamental Horticulture/ Landscaping.
  • Casey P. Kelly,  Lancaster Mennonite High School, a $500. scholarship to PA College of Technology to study Natural Resources Management.
  • Matt D. Gerhart,  Owen J. Roberts High School,  a $500 scholarship to West Virginia University, Davis College of Ag for Landscape Architecture.
  • Alicia Paynter, W.B. Saul High School,  a $500 scholarship to Tuskegee University.
  • Lindsay M. Bachman, Oxford Area High School,  a $500 scholarship to Harcum College.

Important Information on Lyme Disease

    Lyme disease is a tick-born bacterial infection that can be transmitted to humans and pets by infected ticks.  In 2007, Pennsylvania was second only to New York with 3994 reported Lyme disease cases.
