2008 Farm Labor Shortage Monitoring Program

Farm Bureau continues to press for enactment of immigration reform in Washington which must include a reliable and practical guest worker program for agriculture. Meanwhile, the immigrant farm worker situation remains unstable and labor shortages may increase.

The Pennsylvania Farm Bureau is continuing to monitor the nature and extent of the problem, and urges you to report labor shortages if and when they occur. Information provided will be kept confidential – and you have the option of remaining anonymous. The overall farm labor picture may be shared with policy-makers in Washington and Harrisburg, but it WILL NOT include reference to any specific farms.

Please take a moment and fill out the electronic form below or use this printable form and return it to:

Farm Labor Shortage Survey, Governmental Affairs & Communications Division,
PA Farm Bureau, P.O. Box 8736, Camp Hill, PA 17001-8736.

Please do not submit this form if you do not employ immigrant workers or if you are not experiencing a labor shortage at this time. We encourage you to revisit this page and complete the form if your situation changes during the 2008 crop season. Thank you!
