Don and Kristen Buckman of Bucks County receive the Young Farmer & Rancher Excellence in Agriculture Award during Pennsylvania Farm Bureau’s 64th Annual Meeting in Hershey.

The Excellence in Agriculture Award is designed as an opportunity for Young Farmers & Ranchers between the ages of 18 and 35 who do not derive the majority of their income from an owned, rented or leased agricultural operation, while actively contributing and growing through their involvement in Farm Bureau and agriculture, to earn recognition.  Participants will be judged on their involvement in agriculture, leadership ability, involvement and participation in Farm Bureau and other organizations (i.e., civic, service and community). Applicant(s) must be a Farm Bureau member or Farm Bureau member family.

Finalists will receive an expense paid trip to PFB's Annual Meeting in November and the winner will be announced during PFB's Annual Meeting.

 

The winner will also receive an expense paid trip to the AFBF Annual Meeting in January 2015 and an all expense paid trip to the PFB YF&R Leadership Conference in February, ad well as other gifts and monetary prizes.
