METHAMPHETAMINE (Meth) LABS - Health and Safety Hazards:
As lawmakers and law enforcement officials intensify their efforts to halt the production and distribution of methamphetamines (Meth) throughout Pennsylvania, farmers and ranchers must keep a careful watch of their farms to prevent others from using their property to set up temporary meth labs or to dump toxic materials resulting from Meth manufacture.

National Coalition Launches Campaign to Keep Children Off Tractors - And Safe

The Childhood Agricultural Safety Network, a coalition of health and safety organizations, is delivering the following unified message to agricultural communities: children younger than 12 years old should NEVER be on or near a tractor.  Tractors are the leading cause of fatal injuries to children on farms.

U.S.D.A. Issues New Guidelines for Enhancing Security

The U.S. Department of Agriculture released a guide on July 14, 2006 entitled "Pre-Harvest Security Guidelines and Checklist 2006" to help agricultural producers enhance security at the farm level. These practical measures help to protect against natural disasters, as well as the unintentional or intentional introduction of plant or animal diseases.
