Young Farmers & Ranchers (YF&R)

Who are the Young Farmers & Ranchers?
Special Announcements

Pennsylvania Farm Bureau Young Farmers & Ranchers are farmers between the ages of 18 and 35 who are actively engaged in production agriculture. These young people know the many difficulties faced by today's farmers are caused by regulators, legislators and a public who do not understand the business of producing food and fiber.

Current Officers and General Information

The Young Farmers & Ranchers Committee (YF&R) helps young farmers and ranchers improve their leadership and communication skills. It also gives them the chance to meet others of their age group with similar interests and concerns. It provides them with the opportunity to become active members of the organization. It urges them to use their strengths and talents to become future leaders of Farm Bureau.

Outstanding young farmers and ranchers achievements are recognized through programs and awards. The Young Farmers & Ranchers Committee is headed in each county by a chairman. The chairman and committee are appointed by the president and approved by the county board of directors.
