Every farmer has a great story to tell. And telling those stories so that consumers better understand agriculture and how their food is produced, is critical to the future of farming. That’s why Pennsylvania Farm Bureau’s state Ag Promotion Committee is holding a new social media video contest to encourage Farm Bureau members to share their stories.
The deadline to apply is Sept. 15, 2019.
The goal is for farmers to produce short videos that educate consumers about a particular aspect of agriculture. The videos could show how farmers produce safe, quality food for consumers, care for their animals or serve as stewards of the land and natural resources. The video must be posted on at least one social media site. Be sure to tag PFB and use the hashtag #PFBAgPromo2019 so we can see and share your video. In addition to posting the video on social media, contestants must submit their entry through an online application available below.
The winner will have his or her Farm Bureau dues paid for one year, receive a $50 Visa gift card and will be invited (along with a guest) to attend a meal at PFB’s 69th Annual Meeting in Hershey this November, where the winning video will be shown.
