Heart Attack


Did you know that men and women often experience different symptoms?

 

Men

often, but not always experience the classic warning signs of a heart attack.

 

Women

may experience the classic symptoms, but they are often milder. Women may also have other symptoms like:

Uncomfortable Pressure

Fullness, squeezing or pain in the center of the chest that goes away and comes back.

Unexplained Anxiety 

that is accompanied by weakness or fatigue

Pain

that spreads to the shoulders, neck or arms

Pain

usually in the back or jay

Chest Discomfort

with lightheadedness, fainting, sweating, nausea or shortness of breath

Palpitations

cold sweats or paleness that may appear like milk, flu-like symptoms

Abdominal Discomfort

that can appear as stomach pain or as heartburn

Shortness of Breath 

or difficulty breathing, wheezing

Trigger

Men most often report physical exertion prior to having a heart attack.

Nausea

vomiting or dizziness
