 new safemark JOB DESCRIPTION

TITLE: Sales and Service Manager

DIVISION: Safemark Division

REPORTS TO: Manager, Safemark

Provide excellent customer service working with current prospective farm and commercial customers, as well as manage service employees, field phone calls, and assist with some tire installations. This is an exempt, salaried position.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage service work appointments and employees to ensure timely scheduling and efficient routing.
  • Field phone calls regarding service appointments, sales inquiries, general customer questions, etc.
  • Anticipate customer needs and follow through on customer contacts.
  • Surface and develop prospective clients.
  • Install tires on farm, commercial and passenger vehicles/equipment.
  • Promote Safemark services to current and prospective clients.

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

Required:

  • Excellent communication skills, especially in phone conversations
  • Knowledge of farm, truck and auto tires
  • History of tire installation, including large vehicle tires
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated individual
  • Ability to meet deadlines

Preferred:

  • Sales experience
  • Knowledge of Pennsylvania agriculture
  • Knowledge of Farm Bureau

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid PA Driver’s License
  • Ability to pass a physical for non-CDL truck operation
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 75 lbs.
  • Working in a warehouse facility in all types of weather

TELECOMMUTE OPTION: Primarily 80% at warehouse facility, with up to 20% travel to client locations for installations and prospecting.
